Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) is an annual thematic programme that gathers the global design community to explore the use of design in tackling the big issues of today. The week-long event fosters cross-disciplinary learning and exchange through forums, roundtables, case studies and workshops, and also offers participants unique business networking opportunities.
Since its launch in 2006, KODW has proven to be an invaluable knowledge sharing platform connecting global field experts, policy makers, industry leaders and forward-thinking minds. It engages us in a multi-level dialogue on how design can solve complex challenges of our society.
About KODW 2019 Forum on Designing Digital Futures:
The world we think we know is changing. Digital technology is reshaping our urban environment and governance, transforming industries and business leadership, and impacting the way we interact, experience and live.
Where does the future hold for digital transformation? What new futures are made possible by emerging technologies? And, as we embrace the digital age, where are the new opportunities and unprecedented challenges for city, business and the humanity?
Technology alone cannot solve the toughest challenges of our times. Digital technology is an enabler, allowing us to co-create the kind of new futures and social connections we envision. Design plays an important role in making sense of the increasingly digital-driven world and bridging the gap between technology and people.
Making digital technology accessible, tangible, relevant and meaningful for people of all ages and abilities through design are charting our path to the unknown future.
